Timothy Mihocik
Executive Director/Treasurer
Tim is a wildlife care professional and environmental writer with a background in zoological animal management, wildliferehabilitation, and habitat design. He has worked with diverse species across North America through roles at institutions including the Toledo Zoo, Lake Erie Nature and Science Center, and Kevin P. Clinton Wildlife Center. Combining hands-on experience in animal husbandry, enrichment, and welfare with formal training in Zoo Animal Technology and Behavioral Psychology, Timothy founded Wild Earth Conservancy to bridge science, education, and compassion in the service of wildlife. His leadership focuses on building a sanctuary model that restores the bond between humans and the natural world.
Seth Hochberg
Secretary
Seth brings more than a decade of zoological and wildlife experience to Wild Earth Conservancy. A graduate of the University of West Florida’s Zoo Science program, he also studied Zoo Animal Technology at Santa Fe College and Zoology at Broward College. Over the years, Seth has worked with a wide array of species through roles at Montgomery Zoo, Palm Beach Zoo, Lubee Bat Conservancy, and Jacksonville Zoo. His extensive background in husbandry, enrichment, and animal behavior—combined with a lifelong passion for conservation—helps guide the organization’s animal care standards and outreach efforts.
Steven Herbst
Vice President
With a diverse background spanning zoological care, wildlife handling, and public safety, Steven brings a steady hand and detail-oriented mindset to Wild Earth Conservancy. He began his career working with exotic species at ZooTampa and Santa Fe College, developing expertise in husbandry, diet preparation, and enrichment for a wide range of animals. His later experience as a security and corrections officer strengthened his leadership and organizational skills — qualities he now channels into building safe, efficient, and welfare-focused operations for the Conservancy.
